Brisbane City Council is developing a detailed design for the Bridgeman and Beckett Road Corridor Upgrade, between Saturn Crescent/Casuarina Street and Linkfield Road, Bridgeman Downs.
Background
The Bridgeman and Beckett Road Corridor Upgrade is part of Lord Mayor Campbell Newman’s Road Action Program, which tackles congestion and improves safety on Brisbane’s 21 worst congested roads.
The Bridgeman Road/Beckett Road corridor is a major link between the northern suburbs of Bridgeman Downs, Bald Hills, Carseldine and beyond. At present, the road between Linkfield Road and Saturn Crescent/Casuarina Street is reaching capacity.
