The Pine Mountain Road and Creek Road intersection at Mount Gravatt East has been upgraded by Brisbane City Council through the Federal Government’s Auslink Black Spot Program. The upgrade will significantly improve traffic flow and safety in and around this intersection.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Construction of the project is now complete.
The Pine Mountain Road and Creek Road intersection had a high accident record, which prompted an upgrade to improve safety and traffic flow consistency. The project included:
- extending right turn pockets on Creek Road to increase access and improve through traffic flow
- adding an extra through lane on Pine Mountain Road to reduce traffic congestion
- altering the traffic lights to control right hand turns across the intersection
- undertaking some road resurfacing and line marking.
