ABOUT THE PROJECT
Construction of the project is now complete.
Wynnum Road provides an important road connection between Brisbane’s growing bayside suburbs, the Gateway Motorway and the city. The aim of the Wynnum Road widening – Stanton Road to Thornlake Court project is to reduce traffic congestion, improve safety and increase the road capacity.
Originally planned for completion mid to late 2010, Council has delivered this project ahead of schedule and $2.5 million under budget.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and cooperation whilst works were carried out on this important upgrade in the road network.
